CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
ROBOTS - Exhibition at The Old Sweet Shop
26 June – 25 July 2009
Modern robots create a sense of magical awe, representing
futuristic technology we are often unable to understand.
Old robots on the other hand often represent the charm
and playfulness of the past. We are looking for playful
illustrations/artworks that celebrate modern and past robots
and that will appeal to children and adults a like.
Submission details
Size
The artwork(s) must be one of four sizes:
S 24 x 18 cm
M 40 x 30 cm
L 50 x 40 cm
XL 70 x 50 cm
Materials and techniques
You can use any material and technique but it needs to be 2D,
unframed and follow the above sizes. Please keep in mind that
all work will be framed behind glass.
Deadlines
Delivery: 15th of June either in person or by post
Selection: 17th June all applicants will be notified via email
Exhibition Private View: 25th June
Collecting work: 27th July
Returning work by post
Please attach a self addressed and stamped envelope with the work.
Otherwise you will need collect it from the gallery.
Although The Old Sweet Shop will take great care of your work we cannot
be responsible for work damaged in transit.

Selection
There will be a selection process for all work submitted and you
will be notified via email by the 17th of June if you have been successful.
Exhibition and sales
All selected work will be for sale during the exhibition.
Prices will be agreedbeforehand with each artist.
The gallery takes a 50% commission.
Limited edition prints
The Old Sweet Shop has facilities to print high quality limited
edition prints from digital files.
The gallery’s commission rises to 75% if you choose this option.

Monday to Saturday 09.30 - 17.30 or by appointment
Closed on Sunday
