At last, I have finished my new website; you can have a look at www.laurahirt.com
It took me ages, after lots of technical problems and changing my mind twice on the layout, but all in all, I'm happy with it for now. There are still a few bugs when viewed with Safari but it works well with Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer and Opera.
Let me know what you think, always good to get some feedbacks from fellow designers!

I love your layout - it's sophisticated & simple but hand-made-y too! (and it works fine on my Safari)
